Strange idol worship!

March 15, 2016 by anita.sekharan

“They did not destroy the peoples, as the Lord commanded them, but they mixed with the nations and learned to do as they did. They served their idols, which became a snare to them. They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons” (Psalm 106: 34 – 37).

Christians were separated from the world and are sent into the world. “You are not of the world as I am not of the world.” But Christians did not separate but mingled with the nations and learned their practices. Every reference  for their life is from the world, every comparison is from the world. The standards are worldly. Values are from the world. They are like that ‘we must be like them.’ They have everything they want, we also must have. Homes become mini malls. The world is controlling the Christians. Moulded by the world.

They are climbing the ladder. We must climb faster and higher. In India all worship two powerful goddess, one for KNOWLEDGE , another for WEALTH.

Christians say we don’t worship idols. But do they worship the power of the idols? Vs 36, 37 they learned their practices, served their idols, sacrificed their sons and daughters to the demons.

From age 3 to 20 christian parents have sacrificed their children to the demon of education. Children are now serving the ‘knowledge god.’ Special classes,  tuition classes,  extra classes,  coaching classes. Day and night. No time for anything else.

Finally they end up with WISDOM FROM BELOW, “But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice” (James 3: 14-16). And end up in self destruction of cut throat competition. “What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? 2You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask” (James.4:1-2).

From age 20 till the end, all are in the temple of ‘money god’,  making, amassing, storing. Continuous worship. No time for anything else. Parents boast, our children are doing well. God has blessed them abundantly. By which god ?
“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty” (2 Cor 6: 14-18).

Do not be bound together,  no partnership, no fellowship, no harmony,  nothing in common, no agreement. BE SEPARATE.
