For You oh God, our thousand years are like yesterday that passes by, like a watch in the night. Before your eyes, all our days are only like the next slide in a PowerPoint presentation. You give us life, then you tell us to return to the dust. The potter makes a vessel and crushes it and makes another as He wants. In that brief moment, He intervenes and instructs us to repent and return to Him that we may not become a vessel of Gods wrath, but one of favour. Then He grants us eternal life to be with Him – To share in His glory and to be where He is. He will give us a new name. His kingdom will be everlasting. From eternity to eternity, from everlasting to everlasting, He is God. And we will be with Him as over-comers.
Let not my mind then stray to anything worthless, mere vanity or that which have no eternal significance. Be wise. I am responsible for my choices and decisions. Give me Your wisdom – in matters of food, dress, gadgets, fleeting pleasures, words, reading, thinking, enjoying, travelling, working, pleasing people, and working for human honour. Redeem the time, remain focused on that One thing. Every word, every thought, every action need to be Spirit-guided. Steward of things entrusted to me. Every thought must be brought as slaves to the Lord. I demolish every argument, philosophy, etc. that are against God. May I live in your presence and for Your sake. May my heart be steadfast toward You. With all of my heart and all of my soul, all of my mind, all of my strength may I love you. Doing only your will may it be my passion. May I desire nothing else.
